Alencon, the largest city department, third in his region after Caen and Cherbourg, Alençon was for centuries an important administrative place, capital of the generality of Alencon, and economic, Alencon lace, printing and a communications hub between east-west on the Paris-Brittany, north-south axis on the Calais-Bayonne. Soon, the museum is growing and gaining importance thanks to Leon of Sicotiere, senator and local scholar. New collections and donations enrich the Heritage Museum.
