The Chateau of Vaux-le-Vicomte is a seventeenth century castle built for the superintendent of finances of Louis XIV, Nicolas Fouquet. Construction is progressing rapidly, but it requires the destruction of several houses and leveling hills. The early work of water supply are made in the park and the extension of the large pit. The castle retains the traditional French feudal plan, with a rectangular platform surrounded by wide moat, which occupies the south. Two drawbridges connecting the house to the rest of the garden. The openness of the building plan and "massaged" are characteristic of the time.
