Le Perche, French historical province, is a former county that takes its name from the Sylva Pertica forest. It covers the departments of Orne, Eure-et-Loir, Sarthe and Loir-et-Cher. A Regional Natural Park of Perche was created in 1998. The Manor Courboyer fifteenth century, listed Historical Monument: home of the Regional Natural Park of Perche. The strong identity of perch due in part to its customary law before the revolution. The county was formed by merging the county Mortagne, Viscount Châteaudun and lordship of Nogent-le-Rotrou.
