Mortagne au Perche is a character medieval city steeped in history. A stronghold of the Counts of Perche and privileged three countesses. Mortagne has a rich architectural heritage with its sixteenth-century homes and mansions of the eighteenth century, decorated with many sundials. Birthplace of the philosopher Alain and many pioneers Percheron parties found the new France in the 17th century.
